Project Independence

TVK Archive is an independent data visualization and archival project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, funded by, or operated by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) or any of its representatives. The project was created to provide a modern, accessible, and factual overview of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election results.

Data Sources

All information presented on this platform is derived from public records, specifically:

  • Form 26 Affidavits: Sworn legal documents submitted by candidates to the Election Commission of India (ECI) during the nomination process.
  • Election Commission of India (ECI): Official vote counts, margins, and constituency-level declarations.
  • Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR): Parsed repositories used for cross-verifying financial and criminal declarations.

Interpretation of Legal Records

The presentation of legal data on this site is strictly factual and neutral. Visitors must understand the following critical distinctions:

  • A declared criminal case is NOT equivalent to a conviction. Many cases represent pending allegations or political charges (e.g., unlawful assembly during protests).

  • Allegations should not be presented or interpreted as proven facts by users sharing cards from this platform.

Financial Declarations

Financial information represents self-declared assets and liabilities from Form 26. This data reflects the candidate's sworn statement of net worth at the time of filing and should not be interpreted as an independent financial audit or market valuation by this platform. Furthermore, the Archive does not rank or judge candidates morally based on wealth.

Missing Information

If a specific data point (such as a breakdown of movable assets or specific educational institution) is missing from a candidate's profile, it will be marked as "Not available". Missing information should not be interpreted as evidence of absence, but merely an absence of structured data available to the Archive at the time of publishing. We do not estimate, infer, or fabricate missing data.
